Where is Blako Fishing From?
Blako Fishing is proudly based in Perth, Western Australia, with roots shaped by years of fishing and living across different states of Australia.
Who designs your products?
All our products are designed in-house and tested extensively in Australian conditions before they’re released.
Do you make all your own products?
Yes, we work directly with our partnered factories to bring our designs to life, ensuring premium quality at a fair price.
Are your lures and tackle tested in real fishing conditions?
Absolutely. Every product is tested in Australian waters by experienced anglers before launch, mainly from our Brand Anglers and feedback from Product Pros. With extensive testing in house.
Do you sell in retail stores?
Blako is currently sold exclusively online so we can keep our prices sharp and our quality high. While we don’t have retail stockists right now, we’re always open to exploring the right partnerships in the future.
Will you make products for [specific fish species]?
We design products based on the needs of Australian anglers and the fish they target. We’ll produce gear for everything from bream all the way up to big game fish. While many of our current products are built for species like bream, flathead, bass, and perch, we’re always exploring new ideas — so there’s a good chance we’ll have gear for your target species in the future.
Are your products suitable for saltwater, freshwater, or both?
All Blako products are designed to perform in both saltwater and freshwater. We use high-quality materials and finishes to ensure durability, whether you’re fishing in the estuaries, rivers, lakes, or offshore.
Do you offer custom colours or limited editions?
We don’t offer one-off custom colours, but we regularly create unique and innovative colour patterns not commonly seen in Australia. We also plan to release limited edition colours in the future.
Do you attend fishing expos or events?
At this stage we don’t attend expos as we’re focused on building a strong foundation and designing new products. However, we’re always open to supporting events and contributing to the fishing industry.

Where do you ship from?
All orders are shipped directly from Perth, WA.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, we offer free shipping on orders in both standard & express, please see the shipping page.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we currently ship to New Zealand, USA, UK, Canada direct off our website and upon request we can send anywhere in the world.
Sponsorship & Partnership
Does Blako offer sponsorships?
Yes, we do, but not in the traditional sense. Instead, we offer partnerships through our Brand Anglers and Product Pros programs.
Brand Anglers are our core team, using, testing, refining, and helping develop new ideas for our products.
Product Pros are our ambassadors, representing Blako on the water and within the fishing community.
We also partner with anglers, tournaments, and other fishing opportunities that align with our brand.
Who do you work with?
We collaborate with anglers, fishing photographers, videographers, and content creators who have a genuine connection to the fishing community.
Do I need a big social media following to work with Blako?
Not necessarily. We value authenticity, creativity, and real fishing experience over follower count.
What do you look for in a partner?
A genuine passion for fishing, a willingness to test and give feedback, and the ability to create quality content that resonates with the fishing community.
Can I be part of product testing?
Yes, product testing is a big part of our partnerships. We want honest feedback to help refine our gear before it hits the shelves; mainly product testing is done via our Brand Angler program.
Do you have a content creator or ambassador program?
Yes, our Creator Program is for content creators who want to work with us to showcase Blako gear. Our ambassador program is called Product Pros, made up of anglers who represent Blako on the water and within the fishing community.
