The VEETAIL 70mm is designed for finesse fishing situations where a more natural presentation is needed. It combines the baitfish profile of our Forktail Minnow 75 with the higher-response tail action inspired by our Prawn, creating a subtle, controlled movement in the water.

Each lure is finished with a distinctive, realistic minnow eye to reinforce its natural baitfish representation.

The streamlined body maintains a clean baitfish shape that tracks consistently and rigs easily on light jigheads. The precision-cut V-tail, influenced by the responsive mechanics of the Prawn activates with very little input, allowing the lure to move naturally on slow retrieves, light shakes, or when allowed to glide and pause.

Rather than imitating a single species, the VEETAIL represents small estuary forage, making it effective when fish are feeding cautiously or keying in on smaller prey.

Hook sizes #1 and #2 are ideal for all BLAKO lures in the 50–75 mm range, providing the right balance of strength, hookup and natural presentation. The jighead weight you choose should be adjusted to suit the conditions, including water depth, current, rod setup and line, so you can maintain proper control and achieve the desired sink rate.
